I tend to leave papers and groceries on the table. If you can make the bed, you can do anything. But I was able to break up my week to get the house cleaned without overwhelming myself. If I’m being honest, I’m not quite there, but I’m getting there. Starting out, I had to get in a regular cleaning schedule. I make time for me to do something relaxing. Whether I need a nap, or crochet, or read, or whatever. I also make sure to schedule some time for me in. Pajamas may be comfy, but they leave you in a certain type of frumpy mood. Putting on a dress and makeup really does change the way you feel about yourself. I don’t particularly like working out, but it helps manage stress and hormones. Taking a shower may seem hard, but once you’re in, it feels nice to be scalded by the hot water. It’s little reminders to do important things, but to also do things for me. I am terrible at remembering so my weekly schedule also helps me to remember to do things for me. I had to start taking care of myself….again.
